Skiathos (town)

Chora, the capital of Skiathos, is one of the most vibrant and picturesque destinations on the island. Lalaria (beach)

Famous for its imposing cliffs and impressive arches, Lalaria is one of the most famous beaches on the island and certainly one of the most beautiful. You can only reach it by boat, which makes it even more special and secluded. Here, the clear waters and the magnificent view offer you a unique experience of relaxation and natural beauty.

Kastro

At the northern tip of the island, Skiathos Castle rises above the landscape and tells the story of the island. Built in the 14th century to protect the locals from pirate attacks, the Castle was under the rule of the Byzantine Empire, the Venetians and the Turks. After the Greek Revolution of 1821, it was returned to the Greeks. Tour the ruins and enjoy the panoramic views of the Aegean Sea.

Strofilia Lake

Strofilia Lake, behind Koukounaries Beach, is a magical and peaceful landscape that is definitely worth a visit. The lake's wetland is very important for the ecosystem and is protected by European environmental programs. The tranquility and natural beauty of the area will offer you a unique experience of tranquility and contact with nature.

Folk museum

Papadiamantis Museum

Evangelistria Monastery

This review is based on our visit which must have been 12 years since we were there . We are going back this year because we so enjoyed it . Just to let you know that we "never" go to the same place twice and we have visited at least 15 different Greek Islands so this place is really special .

One of the best vacations ever. Beautiful place with big green yard. Beautiful pool, clean, comfortable room. Anna was very helpful. Position of the hotel is perfect, bus station is just across the hotel. But it is much better to rent a car even for a few days to go round the island. We'll be back.

The beach is 2min walk away. There is bus stop right on your door step. The room itself was very clean and cleaned regularly. Fresh towels. Great wifi, the breakfast was always good. The staff were what made this place perfect for us. If your looking for a truly lovely place to stay. Choose Ostria

The room had a large balcony. The maids were lovely and efficient. Breakfast was very relaxed and I was looked after by Aleco who made me feel very comfortable. The whole team worked together and nothing was too much trouble. I felt totally safe! Thank you

Just returned from staying at the Ostria for two weeks, and can't praise the place enough.Anna and her dad Mikey have created a home from home, full of Greek charm, but with a touch of modern. All the staff are ever so friendly, you feel like you have known them forever.
